The original watercolor Bernese painting used to make these prints was commissioned as a trophy for a BMDCA national specialty in Oconomowoc in 1990, by the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America. Janet painted several original watercolors for the top trophies at the show - Best in Show, Best of Opposite Sex, Best of Winners, Winners Bitch, Winners Dog, High in Trial, Puppy Sweepstakes.

Since this premium top mat has a suede finish, the colors play back and forth between the two; bronze truly is the best word to describe it. By using a grass green inner rag mat, Janet has brought attention to the green velvet chair in the piano room and the green in the wool rug at the dog's feet. The original watercolor Bernese painting used to make these prints was commissioned as a trophy for a BMDCA national specialty in Oconomowoc in 1990, by the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America. Janet painted several original watercolors for the top trophies at the show - Best in Show, Best of Opposite Sex, Best of Winners, Winners Bitch, Winners Dog, High in Trial, Puppy Sweepstakes.

Kathleen Feeney, Rockford, Michigan, August 2007 writes,
"Jasper is our second Berner, and this is the second portrait Janet painted for us. You see, our Heart of Michigan Bernese Mountain Dog Club surprised my husband John with Janet's portrait of Ruby (our first Berner) in thanks for work he did on behalf of our organization, and we were both blown away by it! The depth of that portrait always amazes me--as if I can reach out and stroke Ruby's beautifully soft coat by touching Janet's water color. You find yourself just staring at the painting and wondering how it can be a water color with so much clarity, depth, and life! So when Jasper came along, we knew that Janet and Jasper needed to meet.
"While in between agility and obedience trials at the West Virginia national specialty in 2002, Jasper and I played eye contact games and Janet snapped photos of him. I remember how the wind was blowing and it fluffed up his ear fuzzles (which we love) and his very, very long chest hair. How could we resist? No photo ever taken of Jasper could capture his expressive face, his gentle but mischievous eyes, and his ever-present smile. Janet got it all! He's 9 now but he still gives us that same look--and it makes us smile. We're also so glad that we have Janet's Ruby to remind us of our wonderful first Berner baby. Layouts shown are examples of what can be done. Kennel names can be a color other than black, such as blue, red, green, brown, and dark blue. If you are looking for high-quality, full-color business cards, then ask Janet to combine her graphic design skills with one of her existing Bernese Mountain Dog watercolor paintings to create a unique and attractive business card for you. Let us know which Bernese Mountain Dog design appeals to you and we will let you know if it is available for your business cards.
In addition to the information on the front of the card, up to 10 lines of black type can be placed on the back of the cards. Prices start at $180 for the first 1000 cards. A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to start; Janet will email you a mock-up of your card. After the mock-up is approved, the balance will be due.

not exactly green and not exactly brown. Click on the pictures to view larger. Since this premium top mat has a suede finish, the colors play back and forth between the two; bronze truly is the best word to describe it. By using a grass green inner rag mat, Janet has brought attention to the green velvet chair in the piano room and the green in the wool rug at the dog's feet. The light celadon green wallpaper ties the whole painting together. This matting combination simply exudes richness! Includes engraved brass title plate. This item can be shipped.
